Mr Sylvester Abiodun (Ijebu North 1), Member, Ogun Assembly, has commended the Ogun Government for its non interference in the selection process of the new Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo.

Abiodun stated this while speaking under personal explanations during plenary in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

The lawmaker explained that Gov. Dapo Abiodun, had played the role of a father and had allowed the kingmakers to do the needful in the selection of the newly crowned Orimolusi.

Abiodun had on Feb. 22 presented staff of office to Oba Lawrence Adebajo as the new Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo after 28 years of Interregnum

The lawmaker stated that due process was followed during the process, saying that if the process had been politicised, there would have been issues.

In his submission, Mr Olakunle Oluomo, (Ifo 1), the Speaker, congratulated the people of Ijebu-Igbo on the successful coronation of the new paramount ruler.

Oluomo urged the new king to see himself as the father of all, saying that he should bring everyone together during his reign.

The speaker urged the traditional ruler to use his wealth of experience to foster unity and attract more development to Ijebu-Igbo
