A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and CEO of Aerofield Homes, Lagos, Mr Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde has said that the need to ensure a seamless second term for Gov Dapo Abiodun come 2023 remain the task to be accomplished for every resident of the state given the tremendous development the state has witnessed since Gov Abiodun took over two years ago.

Mr Akintunde who is also from Iperu Remo in Ikenne local government just like the governor made this disclosure while speaking with journalists over the activities of Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) a support group the property merchant had founded to mobilise support for the success of the second term bid of Gov Abiodun.

He said ‘it is so glaring that our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has left no stone unturned to expand the frontiers of development of the state. The governor’s imprints are so visible in every sector. He is doing so much in agric, housing, education, health, massive road construction.

“I must also not forget the ongoing Agro-Cargo Airport project that will go a long way to enhance the economic prosperity of the state. In a nutshell, Gov Abiodun has within this period surpassed the expectation of the people and the best thing to do is to ensure that this good work continues beyond 2023”.

Akintunde explained further that “it is against this backdrop that we have put up this group; DACA to mobilise support for our party, APC as well as the second term bid of Gov Abiodun. Our aim is to mobilise at least 2000 per 20 local governments of the state.

“We are principally out to empower our party members and that is why we have built a shopping complex at Iperu to be given out free of charge. It is a way to empower the traders in our midst. We have also just acquired another building along Ogere road, Iperu that we want to reconstruct and make it a recreation centre and a shopping complex too.

“We intend to put big television there for people to watch matches, there will also be table tennis court among other things that could make people feel relaxed. Prior to this moment, we have distributed various empowerment tools such as motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, hairdressing and barbing kits to over 1000 people and we still hope to do more before the year ends”.

Akintunde said that DACA will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the good government of Gov Abiodun continues beyond 2023 urging other residents of the state to keep supporting the governor as he remains committed to leaving the state far better than he met it.
