Former Member House of Representatives, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun , has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the Electoral Amendment Act 2022 into law.
The ex-lawmaker gave the commendation in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Friday.
He noted that he hope the players in the country’s political system would take advantage of the new law to deepen Nigeria’s democracy with maximum benefit to the citizens.
Abudu-Balogun equally commended the National Assembly for a job well-done.
He recalled being part of the Electoral Amendment process while serving in the House of Representatives from 2011-2015 representing Ijebu north/ Ijebu East and Ogun waterside federal constituency.
The ex-lawmaker appreciated the CSOs,the press and the pro- democracy activists for their contributions to this great fit in Nigeria’s democratic development.
