The leadership of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sagamu Local Government on Thursday adopted Bola Oluwole as a consensus candidate for House of Representatives representing Sagamu-Ikenne-Remo North Federal constituency.
Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, representing all the leaders of the party in the local government endorsed the candidacy of Oluwole popularly referred to “Abo Remo” at a consultation meeting to represent the constituency.
Ogunnaike described Oluwole as an individual who had done wonderfully well in ameliorating the suffering of the people without holding any political position.
She added that the leaders of the party believed he would do more when in position of authority, hence, the need to accord him maximum support.
In attendance at the event were party leaders which included Alhaji Saka (Chairman Colligiate Sagamu LG) Alhaja Radiant Adekunle, Alhaji Toyin Usman Ajetunmobi, Alhaja Nusirat Tairu, Alhaji Adesoye Sanni, Hon Nasir Akintunde Folarin and Pa. Albert Soyinka.
Others were Alhaji Opeyemi, Alhaji Jangolo, Alhaji Lateef Moibi Muili, Pa. Olatunji Agbaakin, Deacon Dauda Adeyemi (Party Chairman Sagamu LG) amongst others while all the Ward Women leaders, all the Ward Youth Leaders and all the Party Ambassadors were present at the occasion.
