A sociopolitical group, Progressive Friends on Saturday endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun and his Deputy, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele for second term.

The group was formed in 2019 to address the marginalisation of indigenes of Ado-Odo Ota in the political scene.

The group, through its major financier and supporter, Sotayo Olusola Rasak (Sholebo), the Chairman of the Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organisation (ROMO), submitted a letter of protest over the alleged political marginalisation.

Speaking at an event, organised to pass a vote of confidence on the Dapo Abiodun – led administration and also to endorse the Governor for second term, the Board of Trustees (B.O.T) Chairman Alamu Olurebi said, the group was poised to change the political scene in the State.

Olurebi commended Abiodun for the unprecedented achievements and overall development of the State, saying the Governor must be allowed to continue and complete the good works he started.

He also commended the Governor for speedily addressing the concerns of the group.

Speaking on behalf of the Deputy Governor, the Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area, Seriffu Musa urged the group to remain focused and steadfast in its mandates.

The Coordinator of the group in the Local Government, Philip Amosu in his address called on leaders in the State to give indigenes of the Local Government a chance to hold top political positions…
