House of Representatives candidate for Abeokuta South Federal constituency on the platform of the Labour Party (LP) , Hon. Tolulope Philips , has urged youths not to allowed politicians used them as instrument of violence before, during and after the 2023 general elections.
Philips, who spoke with newsmen in Abeokuta on Thursday advised
Nigerians youths to shun violence, thuggery and hooliganism.
He admonished the younger generation to always embrace peace, saying that it was only in a peaceful atmosphere that peace, development and progress would thrive.
The LP house of representatives candidate expressed displeasure over the increasing cases of cult clashes within the state, calling on the concerned authority to urgently accord the issue with the attention it required.
Philips also charged the security agencies in the state to step up their tactics in order to address the ugly situation.
He expressed optimism that his party had the capacity and capability to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC) and the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) in the 2023 polls
